It is still unclear the way in which the service we provide to others is going to incorporate the highly appreciated human connection which Rotary Members had during previous times. Even though the "hands facing space" idea is likely to be a part of the daily routines in our club, there's no doubt that a sense of confidence is growing and more members have been able to make connections face-to-face. Rotary is evolving. Rotary is a community that fosters long-lasting friendships. We have sharpened up our practices maintaining the business meetings online as well as reintroducing activities for service and social with a secure face-to-face setting. We have taken the new possibilities and merged them with the best of our practices to create an optimistic future for Rotary! In a recent Rotary survey, we were encouraged to see that around 75% of clubs have started planning for their business as usual' activities" The months of summer saw many of our members out and about focussing on projects such as cleaning the beach and river, litter cleaning, and our ongoing support for the community from Rotary volunteer teams who give their time to support COVID testing and vaccination centers.
